A male dance teacher who appeared on Lifetime’s “Bring It” series has pleaded guilty to raping a teenage student and infecting him with HIV.
According to local news, in 2015, when John Conner III was 26 years old, he met a then 16-year-old boy on social media, whom he had unprotected sex with on multiple occasions in the back seat of his car.
Conner failed to disclose to the minor he had been infected with HIV in 2012. The two exchanged numerous text messages about their sexual escapades, as well as nude photos.
After becoming sexually involved with John, the minor joined his dance squad, the #InfamousDancerettes, where he was informed months later by another student that John was HIV positive. The minor then informed his parents of the relationship and his concerns.
Upon testing, the results returned positive. Conner was then arrested and charged with criminal exposure to HIV, solicitation of a minor and statutory rape by an authority figure in 2016.
His trial was set to begin this week, but the reality star decided to skip trial and plead guilty instead.
Conner’s sentencing is set for December 20th, and he has two similar pending cases with victims ages 17 and 24.
