Britney Spears has found her voice.Â
After calling out the people who have never been there for her, she followed with another lengthy Instagram post on Saturday calling out her critics, her father, and her sister.
Alongside the caption, the songstress posted an image saying, “Take me as I am or kiss my a*s eat sh*t and step on Legos.” She began the post by expressing she will not be performing on stage for the foreseeable future since her father controls that aspect of her life, too.
“For those of you who choose to criticize my dancing videos … look I’m not gonna be performing on any stages anytime soon with my dad handling what I wear, say, do, or think!!!! I’ve done that for the past 13 years … “she started the post. “I’d much rather share videos YES from my living room instead of onstage in Vegas where some people were so far gone they couldn’t even shake my hand and I ended up getting a contact high from weed all the time …”
She also expressed that he does not appreciate her sister, Jamie Lynn, performing her songs. She also makes it abundantly clear that she would rather quit the industry than continue under the restrictions outlined in her conservatorship.Â
“And no I’m not gonna put on heavy makeup and try try try on stage again and not be able to do the real deal with remixes of my songs for years and begging to put my new music in my show for MY fans … so I quit !!!!” she continued. “I don’t like that my sister showed up at an awards show and performed MY SONGS to remixes !!!!! My so-called support system hurt me deeply !!!!Â
The one thing the “Toxic” singer says she still has is hope, and despite those trying to dash it, she’s going to remain hopeful.
“This conservatorship killed my dreams … so all I have is hope and hope is the only thing in this world that is very hard to kill … yet people still try !!!!”Â
She followed that post up Sunday night with a video of her dancing in her living room. The singer is wearing a red top and shorts dancing to Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy.” She makes it clear in the caption, “if you don’t like it… don’t watch it.”
