Britney Spears’ ex-husband Jason Alexander has been charged with breaking into her home and trying to crash her wedding. As a result, he has been ordered to steer clear of Spears and her new husband.
Last Thursday, Alexander broke into Spears Thousand Oaks mansion and live-streamed himself inside her home. In the video, Alexander is seen being confronted by the pop star’s security staff. At one point, he wandered toward the wedding tent set up in the backyard where Spears and Sam Asghari later tied the knot.
Alexander disturbingly told the house staff that he’d been visiting Spears’ home for three weeks.
“I’ve been scoping this s**t out,” he told security. At one point, a brief scuffle occurred between him and a security guard.
Once police responded to the residence at around 2:00 p.m., they took Alexander into custody on suspicion of an outstanding felony warrant. On Monday, he was officially charged with misdemeanor trespassing and refusing to leave private property, vandalism and battery.
Alexander and Spears wed in Las Vegas in 2004, but their marriage was annulled 55 hours later. He has blamed the dissolution on Spears’ team. In the years that followed, Alexander made unwanted visits to her home and her family members’ homes. He has even shown up to several of the #FreeBritney rallies that took place to protest her 13-year conservatorship.
As Alexander remains behind bars, a three-year restraining order has been granted to Spears and Asghari. Under the order, the 40-year-old must stay 100 yards away from the couple.
