Britney Spears’ mom Lynne Spears claims she. is torn over her “mixed feelings” regarding her the battle over her daughter’s conservatorship and a fight that led the pop star to call 911 the night before her testimony.
According to Page Six, Lynne spoke candidly to journalists Ronan Farrow and Jia Tolentino for their New Yorker article about Britney’s ordeal.
The 66-year-old said, “I got mixed feelings about everything,” telling Farrow and Tolentino, “I don’t know what to think … It’s a lot of pain, a lot of worry.”
The report claims that Lynne allegedly “spoke in a whisper” while on the phone with the journalists and “declined to answer detailed questions about the case.”
Britney’s mother also apologized to the pair in advance after telling them she might have to “hang up abruptly” if a family member entered the room.
The report also details a 911 call Britney made the night before she testified. In that call, Spears told the operator that she wanted to report herself as a victim of abuse in her conservatorship. That call was confirmed through Ventura County law enforcement and a close friend.
The next day, Spears testified that her family, namely her father Jamie, should be sued over the terms of her conservatorship.
