Britney Spears and her ex Kevin Federline have come to an agreement in a new child support plan.
It looks like Brit will be coughing up more dough, as she’s agreed to pay thousands more in child support to Federline. This week, Federline and his lawyer were seen leaving Spears’ lawyer’s office. Sources close to the two parties say they’ve settled the dispute.
The deal comes after months of battling over how much Spears should pay in child support. Originally, Spears was paying $20,000 a month to Federline for their two sons. However, Federline felt the money didn’t fully support the amount of time and money he spent on the kids in comparison to how much Spears makes. Federline explained that his lack of money is due to him not being hired for dancing jobs because of his age. He also said he has been tending to other family needs.
Federline could have taken an extra $10,000 from Spears’ father, who offered it in hopes that Federline would call off the legal war. But Federline’s lawyer refused. Spears is reportedly worth $56 million and has been raking in big money from her Las Vegas residency, which is why K-Fed feels his allowance should be matched by the check Spears brings in.
Spears was also ordered to pay Federline’s $100,000 legal fees and expenses during their entire child support battle. The details of how much Spears will have to pay has been labeled confidential.
