Brittney Taylor from “Love & Hip Hop: New York” is now switching up her story as she allegedly claims that Remy Ma wasn’t the person who hit her in the face. In fact, she reportedly said it was actually Remy’s husband Papoose who did it, according to Remy’s lawyers.
As you may recall, Remy was charged with physically assaulting Taylor during a concert on April 16 at Irving Plaza. But, Remy’s defense attorney Dawn Florio says Taylor is now allegedly blaming Papoose for knocking her out, in a private group chat that was released on social media.
The message allegedly uploaded to Brittney Taylor’s ‘close friends’ on Instagram said, “I have the video. Papoose is a b-tch for touching me, and he’s a b-tch for making his wife take the wrap for it. SMFH!!! Nigga really knocked me out bro! Sh-t making me sick to my soul.”
According to Page Six, Florio said that the Assistant Defense Attorney planned to subpoena Taylor’s chat records to confirm that the group chat is authentic. The attorney is urging the DA to drop the case.
Meanwhile, Taylor’s lawyer, Sanford Rubenstein, reportedly claims that the group chat was doctored and that they had given the original to the DA’s office. Sanford didn’t mention how the messages were different, but said, “We look forward to trial.”
Remy’s brief court appearance took place Thursday at the Manhattan Supreme Court, but the case was adjourned to October 18. Remy previously called Brittney a liar and said she had already left at the time of the alleged incident. She faces four counts of misdemeanor assault and harassment.
