Accused Bronx Rapist Who Got Caught After Victim Asked for Help on Grubhub Charged With Sexually Assaulting Three Women in One Week

A woman escaped from a sexual predator, who’s been charged in two other sexual assault incidents, using her Grubhub application.

Back in June, an unidentified 24-year-old woman met 32-year-old Kemoy Royal through a dating app. According to a criminal complaint, when the two met up, at some point, Royal took the woman’s phone. During that time, the woman says Royal held her hostage and raped her.

Thinking of a way to get her phone back, she asked Royal if she could order food. In the comment section, the woman wrote: “please call the police … please don’t make it obvious.” When workers at the Chipper Truck Cafe in Yonkers, New York, received her message, they called the NYPD. Police arrested Royal at the scene.

On Monday, the Bronx man was indicted on 23 charges, including Predatory Sexual Assault, Rape, Sexual Abuse, Strangulation, and Criminal Sexual Act, according to prosecutors. His attack on the woman wasn’t his first assault. In just that week alone, Royal allegedly attacked two other women.

Five days before, Royal raped a 27-year-old woman who he connected with through a dating app. Police say Royal forced her to perform sexual acts on him, and he performed sexual acts on her without her consent. The other victim was a 26-year-old woman who he held hostage, threatened to kill and physically abused.

Royal is now being held on a $300,000 cash bail. He’s scheduled to appear in court on October 11.
