A Bronx resident is facing murder charges for setting a homeless man on fire during a scooter dispute.
Errol Stephenson, 28, admitted to intentionally setting a homeless man–later identified as Patrick Winkler– on fire back in September.
According to the New York Post, Stephenson set fire to Winkler because he stole his scooter in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens, Brooklyn.
According to the Post, Winkler suffered “third-degree burns over 90 percent of his body.”
Winkler lived for about one month before succumbing to his injuries. He was 46-years-old.
Stephenson, 28, was arrested Saturday in Mount Vernon in Westchester County. He has been charged with second-degree murder.
