Reality TV star Brooke Bailey is putting the engagement rumors to rest! Recently, speculations erupted that rapper Jim Jones had proposed to an unknown woman, who is not his longtime girlfriend, Chrissy Lampkin. After the claims went viral, many social media users believed the mystery woman was none other than Ms. Bailey herself.
It all began after one X (formerly known as Twitter) user tweeted, “Jim Jones married another woman. Chrissy went through all of that… He just met someone and married her. Chrissy waited 20 years.” Somehow, the post was fueled with Bailey being involved in the love triangle. But, she recently sat down with the TFU podcast to clear her name and set the record straight.
“I am not married to Jim Jones,” Bailey said to the hosts. “Listen, let me tell you guys something: This is the craziest viral moment I’ve ever been a part of in my whole entire life.”
The reality star went on to explain that not only is she not married to Jim but she doesn’t even know him.
“I didn’t think anything of it at first,” Bailey added. “I’ve been in my bag, creating, getting ready to relaunch my website, taking care of my personal business, my kids. I’m so off the radar… When I saw this, I was like, ‘Who’s Jim?’”
She continued, “Now I’m seeing people commenting on my TikTok or my Instagram and I’m still…it’s not saying Jim Jones. I’m not even thinking that because that’s so f*cking random.”
Meanwhile, Jim and Chrissy have also decided to seemingly address the allegation, taking a more humorous approach. Last week, the couple appeared in an Instagram video together, with Jones captioning the post, “The world needs more water.” In the clip, Jones is seen holding up a bottle of water, jokingly asking Chrissy, “You want some water?”
Nonetheless, Bailey has made it clear that she has no ties to Jones and is focusing on her responsibilities and bettering her life.
“This is where I’ve been for the last few weeks, where God just kind of set me quiet. I’ve just been in a very quiet space to myself,” she concluded.
