Brooklyn Chop House is getting ready to open its new Times Square location, and it is offering exclusive membership opportunities for those that want to jump on the cryptocurrency trend.
The restaurant, owned by the largest Black-owned management group in the industry, is offering NFT membership levels. Patrons that buy in using Ethereum will gain access to a private club.Â
The $20,000 gold membership gives members a guaranteed reservation for a member, plus 20 guests. The $1 million membership comes with a piece of ownership. Each member who buys in at that price level will receive a quarter percent stake in Brooklyn Chop House.
The move makes the restaurant only one of two bistros that offer NFT membership in New York City.Â
The Times Square location will be the restaurant’s second in New York City. The first opened up in 2018 in the Financial District.
The restaurant is described as modern chic meets Gilded Age New York, and the menu is a blend of American steakhouse and Beijing-style cuisine.Â
“Brooklyn Chop House is a brand we created that has become the hottest new steakhouse concepts fused with our creative Asian Culinary experience that our patrons have come to love over the years. Our Times Square flagship will be a must-visit location for New Yorkers and tourists from all around the globe to experience!” said co-founder of the management group behind the restaurant, Robert “Don Pooh” Cummings, in a statement.
The new location will feature five floors with six private dining rooms and three bars. The rooftop bar has a retractable clear roof to keep the party going no matter what the weather brings.
The Times Square location is set to open on March 14.
