Brooklyn Drill rapper Dusty Locane is behind bars after turning himself in on Nov. 30 to serve out his sentence in connection to gun charges.
The 23-year-old drill artist posted to his Instagram on Nov. 24 that he would be turning himself in. He previously pleaded guilty to two charges of criminal possession of a weapon he received in 2019 and 2020.
His sentence carries a mandatory minimum of one year and a maximum of up to three years.
“Been fightin [these] cases for damn near 4 [years],” he captioned the post. “Now I gotta go handle up ima take care of dis short bid n ima be bacc nine five times stronger ‼️”

Despite being locked up, Locane has remained active on social media. His Instagram page was updated most recently on Friday.
Earlier this month, Locane shared an update from prison by posting a picture. He can be seen wearing a green prison uniform. “Alive is the best place to be,” he captioned it. “They locced me physically but my mind is free,” he wrote. “I appreciate the luv n support, free me!!”
