Rapper Rowdy Rebel, also known as Chad Marshall, was released from prison after spending nearly four years behind bars for weapon charges.
In 2014, Marshall was arrested alongside Bobby Smurda and the GS9 crew members on murder, drugs, and weapons charges. According to Complex, Marshall and Bobby Smurda were sentenced to seven years in prison after taking a plea deal for conspiracy to possess weapons and possession of weapons. Both received two years served.
In August, the Board of Parole granted Marshall an early release date of December 15, 2020. The rapper is allowed to finish out his sentence under community supervision, according to Complex.
Marshall continued to make music while behind bars. He appeared on Pop Smoke’s song “Make it Rain.”
