Cleveland Browns rookie running back Quinshon Judkins is in serious legal trouble following an arrest for alleged domestic violence. The 21-year-old was taken into custody on Saturday, July 12th, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. According to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, the arrest followed a response to a domestic disturbance.
“Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the victim. During their preliminary investigation, it was determined a battery had occurred,” police confirmed. “The officers made contact with the suspect and placed him into custody. He was transported to Broward County Main Jail.”
The charge filed against Judkins is listed as a first-degree misdemeanor battery under Florida law. If convicted, he could face up to one year in jail, one year of probation, and a $1,000 fine. According to the Daily Mail, Judkins is being held without bond, and a court date has yet to be scheduled.
The Cleveland Browns acknowledged the incident with a short statement, saying, “We are aware and gathering more information.” As of now, no further details surrounding the incident have been released.
Judkins was selected 36th overall in the 2025 NFL Draft by the Browns after transferring from Ole Miss to Ohio State. At Ole Miss, he racked up over 2,700 rushing yards and 31 touchdowns in just two seasons. His success continued at Ohio State, where he notched 14 touchdowns for the national champions.
He remains unsigned along with several other second-round picks.
