Burna Boy is opening up about the recent death of South African rapper AKA, who was fatally shot outside a popular restaurant in Durban, South Africa, last Friday.
Burna Boy took to his Instagram Story Thursday to express how shocked and saddened he was over the rapper’s death, even though they had a strained relationship.

“Wtf is all that about? I just heard he died. Seen that video at the restaurant. Took me out of a positive mood,” he wrote.
He continued, “Took me back to the day when you saw my gun and you said I was wild.”
“Then I told you you should have one too / Cuz it weren’t like ni**az wasn’t dying but I thought you knew.”
The Grammy winner went on to say that although they were estranged, he wants police to arrest those responsible for his murder and also pray he’s at peace.
“I ain’t really f*ck with you. But I didn’t want you dead, it was like that with me and you. Wicked!” he added.
“I hope you rest in peace, even though we ain’t kick it. At the end of the day we some grown ass ni**az.”
Over the years, Burna and AKA collaborated on songs like ‘All Eyez On Me,‘ ‘Paid‘ by South African rapper Da Les and ‘Special Someone‘ by Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie.
