C.J. Gardner-Johnson has fully embraced his villain era—and he’s making sure Taylor Swift’s fans know it.
The Philadelphia Eagles defensive back wasted no time rubbing in his team’s Super Bowl LIX win over the Kansas City Chiefs, taking shots at Travis Kelce and Swift in the process. It all started with a social media jab at Kelce, which included a not-so-subtle dig at his superstar girlfriend.
Following the Eagles’ victory, Gardner-Johnson appeared to suggest that Kelce “fumbled” his ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole, implying she might have been the better choice.
“Should’ve stayed w that thick s**,”* he wrote on his Instagram Story, alongside a game photo of himself and Kelce.
That post didn’t sit well with Swifties, who retaliated by bombarding negative reviews on Gardner-Johnson’s mother’s business page—though their efforts fell flat since the restaurant had already closed.
Instead of backing down, Gardner-Johnson doubled down during the Eagles’ Super Bowl parade in Philadelphia. While celebrating on Valentine’s Day, he rocked a sweatshirt with an NSFW message aimed at Swifties, which read:
“Swifties can LIX my balls.”
Clearly, if anyone was expecting him to apologize, they had another thing coming.
The Eagles dominated the Super Bowl from start to finish, holding Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense in check, while Jalen Hurts led the way with 221 passing yards, 72 rushing yards, and three total touchdowns.
