California Mom Arrested for Having Secret Teen Parties Where She Provided Liquor and Condoms, Plus Watched Them Have Sex

A California mother has been arrested after it was discovered that she held secret parties where she supplied liquor and condoms to teens and even watched them perform sex acts.

Court documents say that 47-year-old Shannon O’Conner sat laughing as she watched a teen boy mount and grope a girl who was a friend of her 15-year-old son.

Prosecutors say that the secret parties were hidden from other parents as well as her husband.

Oftentimes, her 14 and 15-year-old children were so intoxicated that they “would vomit, be unable to stand, and fall unconscious.”

“It took a lot of brave children to come forward and to untangle this deeply disturbing case,” DA Jeff Rosen said in a statement.

“As a parent, I’m shocked. As the DA, I’m determined to hold those adults who endanger children fully accountable to the law and our community.”

O’Conner, a.k.a Shannon Bruga, was arrested in Idaho where she lives, but prosecutors say they intend to transfer her to California, where she will face 39 criminal counts.

O’Connor allegedly threw multiple parties for her son and his friends during an eight-month period from 2020 to earlier this year, pressuring those present to keep the parties a secret.

According to the statement of facts, “She stated if anyone was told she could go to jail.” One of the 14-year-old girls who spoke out about the parties was threatened with reprisal, which included others spreading false rumors about her.

It was reported that she gave a boy a condom and forced him into a room with an intoxicated 14-year-old girl who was laying on a bed at one party.

“[The girl] was afraid, ran and locked herself in the bathroom,” the statement said.

At another party, O’Connor brought a boy into a room with an intoxicated girl, then left. According to prosecutors, the girl was allegedly abused. Prosecutors say the girl approached O’Connor and asked why she had left her alone in such an intoxicated state.

“Like why did you like, do that?” the girl allegedly said. “Like, you knew what he was going to do to me.”

According to NY Post, in October of last year, O’Conner booked a cottage in Santa Clara for the teens to use, which they racked up $9,000 in damage fees to the home, and video surveillance showed teens puking and stumbling all over the property.

On December 19, a teen had driven O’Connor’s car around in a parking lot while two other teens held on to the back of the SUV. One girl’s pinky finger ended up broken, and one boy suffered from a concussion after he slipped and struck his head.

O’Connor is charged with felony counts of child abuse and sexual assault.

She is also being charged $120,000 in credit card fraud.
