Every couple, if they desire, deserve to have children of their own. That is what Michelle Reaves and her husband, Chris, believe as they made the decision to help another family with the gift of life. Unfortunately, Michelle passed away from complications during childbirth Wednesday morning.
The baby, fortunately, made it out safe.
The Reaves couple has two beautiful children, Gage and Monroe. Since they were done having children of their own, they decided to bring the same joy to another family. According to Fox 35 Orlando, Michelle was actually on her second surrogacy for the same family when she lost her life.
Described as a funny, sarcastic person who “always had you laughing, she will always be known for the love she had for her family,” said Jaime Herwehe, a family friend.
“I can’t even begin to imagine what her husband Chris and her two babies are going through so I want to start this page to help raise money for help with the kids, for Chris as they all adjust, funeral services or anything at all to make it as easy as we can on them,” she wrote on the GoFundMe page that she created to help the family.
The NY Post reported that more than $34,000 has been donated.
My deepest prayers and condolences go out to Chris, Gage, Monroe, and the rest of the Reaves family during this trying time.
