On Wednesday, a California police officer punched and threatened a 17-year-old special needs boy.Â
Officers responded to a call in Vacaville, a city in the northern part of the state, for a possible stabbing or assault, according to TMZ. When officers arrived, Preston Wolf was engaged in a fight with a neighbor and picked up a weapon. No one was injured during the altercation.
Ring video shows the officer yell at Preston to sit down. The cop then aggressively throws the boy’s scooter and gets in his face. Preston, who is autistic and has attention deficit disorder, felt uncomfortable and got up to run. The cop catches the boy and throws him to the ground before punching him in the head.
Preston yells, “You punched me in the fucking head.” The officer then threatens, “You’re gonna get hurt. Don’t make me hurt you more. Don’t make me hurt you more.”
“I don’t believe that Preston will ever trust a police officer again. I am pro-police, but I am not pro ABUSE!” the boy’s father, Adam, posted on Facebook. “This individual and department must be held accountable for their actions. NO child, disability or not, deserves to be treated like this. Please be aware, the following videos are Disturbing.”
Preston was detained for an hour before he was cited and released. The police department said the officer was unaware Preston has special needs, and the incident is under investigation.Â
