Are congratulations in order for Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton? It seems the NFL superstar may have allegedly fathered a new baby with an IG model, which would make him a father for the fifth time.
Cam and his longtime girlfriend, Kia Proctor, welcomed their fourth child, Cashmere Saint, last October.
However, rumors were running rampant that the couple was actually broken up after they scrubbed their Instagram profiles of each other months before the child’s birth. Now, we may know why.
According to Bossip, the two have been separated for about six months, and are now embroiled in a custody battle in the wake of rumors that the baller fathered a child with an Instagram model/former Miss Azerbaijan La Reina Shaw.
Shaw gave birth to a child, which many allege was sired with the quarterback in the summertime, the Jasmine Brand reports. While there were no pregnancy or baby pictures posted to her Instagram, social media users pointed out a round baby bump from a photo in June, and baby bottles on her kitchen counter in a more recent photo on her IG.
Newton and Proctor have four children together Cashmere, Camidas Swain, who was born July 2018, his oldest son Chosen Sebastian, 3, and his daughter Sovereign-Dior, 2. Proctor also has an older child from a previous relationship.
However, according to the publication, the two are now gearing up for a child support showdown as Newton has sued Proctor for paternity, joint custody and visitation over the summer for Chosen, 5, Sovereign-Dior, three, Camidas Swain, two and Cashmere Saint, who was born in September 2019.
While Newton has always acknowledged paternity and signed the kids’ birth certificates, he now wants DNA proof. The quarterback revealed that he’s been voluntarily paying child support but wants the court to figure out a dollar amount. He also claims that once he’s legally deemed the father, he’d like joint physical custody with Proctor.
Proctor, however, has countersued Newton for full physical custody, child support, health benefits, life insurance for the children, and her lawyer and expert fees.
