Cam Newton was involved in a car wreck yesterday that left him suffering from two transverse fractures in his lower back, the same injury that kept Cowboys Tony Romo out of one game earlier this season.
Cam Newton’s truck reportedly rolled 3-4 times in the accident that took place in uptown Charlotte yesterday afternoon. The Panthers tweeted an update on his injuries saying, “Further testing revealed that Cam Newton has two transverse process fractures in his lower back and no further internal injuries.”
There’s been no further information made available regarding Cam’s injuries or how many games he will miss this season but I can almost guarantee we won’t be seeing him on the field Sunday.
