Camille Cosby, Bill Cosby’s wife and manager, has just scored herself a small victory. After several attempts to avoid testifying in her husband’s civil case, Camille will be glad to learn that her deposition has been delayed. A judge made the ruling on Tuesday.
This does not mean that she will not have to testify against her husband, it just means she won’t have to do so today, as United States Magistrate Judge David H. Hennessy did not find it fair to deny her a chance to appeal. Camille Cosby’s deposition was originally scheduled to take place today in Springfield, Massachusetts in which Camille would have to sit down with the attorneys for the 7 women suing her husband for defamation and sexual misconduct.
The judge granted her motion so that Camille Cosby can appeal the December 31 order to sit for the deposition. The judge agreed with her motion citing “irreparable injury” to Camille Cosby if the deposition went forward at this time.
