Chris Brown is debunking rumors that he has been “blackballed.”
Earlier this week, Breezy kicked off his 11:11 tour in Detroit in front of a sold-out crowd. During the show, Chris took a moment to address the audience and mock the “blackballed” rumors that have followed his career.
“For a n*gga they say is blackballed, this don’t look blackballed to me!!!” Chris said to the crowd while thanking his supporters.

The “blackballed” allegations have persisted since his 2009 domestic violence incident with his then-girlfriend Rihanna. During that time, Chris experienced being canceled by many fans, having his songs pulled from commercials and radio stations, and being barred from performing at certain events and venues.
Years later, Chris is still haunted by his past, with the most recent incident involving Ruffles. In February, Chris claimed that he was uninvited to participate in the 2024 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. According to Breezy, he was initially asked to play but was later told he could not participate due to their sponsor, Ruffles.
“I was asked by the NBA to play in the All-Star game this year! Only for them to call later and say they couldn’t do it because of their sponsors like Ruffles,” Chris wrote on his Instagram Story at the time. “At this point I’m sick of people bothering me and I’m tired of living in the fking past. I posted these emails so y’all could see. The NBA still was tryna get me to come and sit courtside… not fking happening.”
Despite the criticism Chris constantly faces online, his fanbase, Team Breezy, continues to show him love in real life. To show his gratitude, Chris ensures his supporters receive exceptional performances. His Detroit show began with a voiceover of Michael Jackson and featured an extensive setlist split into four parts, mixing his classic songs and new music. Attendees were amazed by Chris’s showmanship, especially when he took flight and soared over the crowd. Another highlight of the night was the return of the rotating stage featured in his “Take You Down” music video, a popular element from his previous tours.
