Actress Candace Cameron Bure says she and fellow “Full House” star and friend Bob Saget had a trivial argument in their final conversation together.
During Bure’s emotional interview with the “Today” show Thursday, she shared that she and Saget had dinner plans, but things did not go as planned after he missed his flight and became “cranky” during their conversation. She says the following day, the standup comedian reached out with a “pages long of a text,” apologizing for his sour mood.
“I was so wrong. You’re, like, my favorite person on the Earth,” she recalled Saget texting her. “I was getting ready to take a late flight, and I was annoyed.'”
Saget was found in his hotel room on January 9th following a comedy show in Orlando, Florida. Police confirmed there were no signs of foul play, but it remains unclear how he passed away. The 65-year-old’s cause of death has not yet been determined.
In the wake of his death, Bure says she is scared of accidentally deleting those last messages from her former TV dad, which ended with “love you’s” and humor to smooth over their minor “tiff.”
Bure played D.J. Tanner on “Full House.” Saget portrayed the role of Danny Tanner, who was D.J.’s father on the long-running family comedy. The show aired from 1987 to 1994.
