The Car Derek Fisher Crashed While Driving Drunk Was Registered To Matt Barnes

Derek Fisher hasn’t been having the best few months after losing his coaching job. On Sunday, the former Laker crashed a 2015 Cadillac Escalade into a guard rail on the 101 Freeway in L.A. and flipped it while driving under the influence. His girlfriend, Gloria Govan, was also in the vehicle. Now, it turns out that the Escalade was registered to none other than Govan’s ex-husband, Matt Barnes of the Golden State Warriors.

Fisher was arrested for DUI and the vehicle was completely totaled. Reportedly, Barnes gave the car to Gloria specifically for the use of transporting their twin boys. Thankfully, they weren’t in the car at the time of the accident.

Matt Barnes and Derek Fisher don’t see eye to eye as it is. I’m sure this incident doesn’t help.
