Tensions in Memphis remain high as police announce that the vehicle used in the murder of Young Dolph was used in another homicide a week earlier.
Young Dolph was shot and killed last Wednesday while purchasing cookies from Makeda’s Cookies on Airways Boulevard. Surveillance images showed two suspects opening fire through the shop’s window before fleeing in a white Mercedes Benz. On Saturday, the car was found abandoned at a home in a Memphis neighborhood. Authorities say that they discovered evidence in the car that linked it to the murder of a woman on November 12th.
The earlier murder, which occurred in the city of Covington, took place when the Benz followed another vehicle from a high school football game. Once both cars stopped at an intersection, two men exited the Benz and opened fire on the vehicle that they were following. Inside was a woman and her daughter-in-law. Both women were taken to the hospital in critical condition. Sadly, the mother-in-law passed away.
Though police have linked the vehicle to both incidents, they do not have any suspects in either murder at this time.
