Cardi B is requesting that the courts reject Tasha K’s appeal to overturn the $3.8 million judgment awarded to the rapper.
The “Hot Sh*t” rapper and her legal team have outlined their reasoning for rejecting Tasha’s appeal in court documents acquired by RadarOnline.com.
Earlier this year, it was reported that Cardi was awarded millions after Tasha was found liable for defamation by a jury.
During the trial, Cardi told the judge that the blogger posted videos accusing her of having an STD, having previously worked as an escort, and being a drug addict.
As Cardi described how the lies affected her personal life, she became overcome with emotion while denying the accusations on the witness stand.
In response, Tasha appealed the judgment, alleging that it was improper. Now, Cardi is taking Tasha back to court.
Cardi claimed in new court documents that Tasha began targeting her in 2018 by being in the business of “spreading salacious rumors about celebrities for profit.”
According to her attorney, “They admitted that their targeted attacks were intended to irritate her and to make people laugh at her and to cause her embarrassment and humiliation.”
The motion said Tasha’s actions were not only vulgar, tasteless, and rude. Cardi noted that the continuous, self-described “campaign” was driven by greed and spite and was so nasty and offensive that any sane person would conclude that “Tasha’s actions” were what caused [Cardi’s] profound feelings of humiliation, embarrassment, shame, and outrage.
Cardi believes the jury made the right decision and wants the judgment upheld.
According to Radaronline.com, Cardi has attempted to collect the money she is owed by serving Tasha’s bank with several subpoenas to seize whatever money she may have.
