On Tuesday, Pardi confirmed that their track “Toot It” would finally drop this Friday, but many were questioning the collab.
Some fans called Cardi out, pointing to her friendship with Megan and the fact that Pardi and Megan had a previous relationship which lead to a bad breakup.
Cardi, however, wasn’t here for the drama and took to X Spaces to set the record straight.
“Let me make this clear,” Cardi said. “When I fuck with two people and I like two people, I stay away from their shit because when it comes to relationships, some bullshit will always happen.” She went on, “I’m going to always stay neutral and stay the f*ck out of it.”
Cardi emphasized that her loyalty to both artists wasn’t about choosing sides, and she wasn’t about to get dragged into the mess. “None of that sh*t is my f*ckin business, so stop harassing me. The album is complete,” she added.
It’s clear Cardi’s not about to let internet rumors derail her work or her friendships.
