Cardi B has been dropping guest verses left and right, but now it looks like she might be teaming up with a new partner: Popeyes.
On Friday, July 26, the Bronx superstar responded enthusiastically on X to an offer from the popular restaurant chain to “come thru the test kitchen to collab on some wing flavors.”

“Free wings??? Where y’all at? COME PICK ME UP,” Cardi replied.
It all started earlier this week when Bardi, in a video captured by TMZ, shared her thoughts on Popeyes’ new honey lemon pepper wings, calling them “not it.”
“It’s just not good,” she added. “It tastes like a Sprite soda. I don’t like it.”
Popeyes quickly responded with a post saying, “bardi gang… since ya girl had some thoughts on our honey lemon pepper wings, we’d love to have her come thru the test kitchen to collab on some wing flavors.”
This isn’t the first time Cardi has voiced her opinions about Popeyes. In the fall of 2021, she reviewed the “Hottie Sauce” created by her “WAP” collaborator, Megan Thee Stallion.
According to Cardi, Megan’s sauce was a hit. “Bomb. ‘Cause it’s like… it smells and it feels like it’s going to hit you with, like, Louisiana Hot Sauce,” Cardi said in a short video. “But then it goes to like a different world like a sweet and sour.”
Fans had fun with Cardi B’s review, especially commenting on her elaborate manicure. “Shorty got them Edward Scissorhands nails,” one person wrote. Another said, “I thought those were crab claws.”
Megan Thee Stallion announced her Popeyes partnership on Instagram in October 2021. Besides launching a new sauce, Megan also became a franchise owner and planned to open her own Popeyes locations.
“Not only does ya girl have an official sauce but I’m also now a franchise owner and will be opening up my very own Popeyes locations #megantheestallionhottiesauce,” Megan shared on Instagram.
