Cardi B has already taken her talents to the big screen, but she has snagged the leading role this time.
Cardi will star in Paramount’s upcoming film Assisted Living. The raucous comedic film will follow Amber (Cardi B), a small-time crook who finds herself in trouble after a heist gone wrong. While fleeing from the cops and her old crew, Amber runs out of options while trying to find a safe haven. Amber then gets an idea to disguise herself as an older woman and hide out in her grandma’s nursing home.
Paramount won the rights to the film in spring 2019. ‘Assisted Living’ is based on an original script written by Kay Oyegun, a writer for ‘This Is Us.’
Cardi isn’t new to the acting scene. The female rapper got her start when she joined the reality show Love & Hip Hop NY cast. Then she made an appearance in the 2019 crime drama film “Hustlers,” starring Jennifer Lopez. Cardi has also secured a role in the “Fast and Furious” franchise upcoming film, ‘F9.’
