Cardi B shared that community service has opened her eyes and given her a new life perspective.
Last week, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper revealed that she has started community service and is 15 days in. Cardi was ordered to community service after accepting a plea deal in 2018 strip club brawl.
“Community service has been the best thing that has happened to me. Almost like a spiritual journey because sometimes I leave these centers in tears. Those people that we leave behind they just need somebody to talk and a lil push and YOU might be able to change their life forever,” the 30-year-old tweeted.

The incident occurred in August 2018 at Angel’s Strip Club in Queens, New York. Two bartenders claimed Cardi ordered an attack on them because she thought one of them had slept with her husband, Offset.

In September, Cardi plea guilty to two misdemeanor charges of assault in the third degree and reckless endangerment. She later accepted a plea deal and received ten dismissed charges, a three-year order of protection from the women involved in the fight, and community service duty.
“Part of growing up and maturing is being accountable for your actions. As a mother, it’s a practice that I am trying to instill in my children, but the example starts with me. I’ve made some bad decisions in my past that I am not afraid to face and own up to,” Cardi said at the time. “These moments don’t define me and they are not reflective of who I am now. I’m looking forward to moving past this situation with my family and friends and getting back to the things I love the most — the music and my fans.”
