Cardi B Reflects On “Being Afraid” And Regaining Confidence In Herself: “I’m Just Starting To Feel Like I’m Not Afraid Anymore”

Cardi B reveals that she recently experienced a rough patch in her life but has since moved past it with the help of her fanbase.

In an Instagram Live session last Friday, the New York City native candidly discussed her inner battles and expressed gratitude to her supporters for aiding her through the challenging period.

“Thank you for giving me back my confidence because for a long time, I lost it,” Cardi began. “I don’t think a lot of people understand that it’s more than just music. I lost my confidence in, like, myself. Not the way I look, but just afraid of things. Like I’m afraid to being judged, I’m afraid to being myself, I’m afraid of all the bad comments […] I just feel like I was afraid of everything.”

She added, “I’m just starting to feel like I’m not afraid anymore. I’m just not afraid anymore, and I’m going to stop being afraid […] I’m not going to have no breaks, like y’all going to see me almost every single f*cking week.”

Earlier this week, Cardi ignited excitement among her followers by teasing a dynamic new track titled “Miami.” Speculation has been swirling among fans, suggesting that the “Old Cardi” persona may be poised for a comeback, especially after she posted a minute-long snippet of the unreleased song on TikTok earlier this month.
