Cardi B Secures “Cardi B” Trademark After Two Years

After a longstanding legal battle, Cardi B has officially secured the rights to her stage name, “Cardi B.”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

In legal docs obtained by The Blast, the Bronx-bred rapper was awarded a certificate from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on December 11, almost two years after her initial filing.

According to the publication, Cardi filed to acquire the trademark back in February 2016, but faced multiple roadblocks in the process – including suspension and abandonment of the filing.

But, fortunately for the “Money” rapper, Cardi’s team was able to save the name and secure the rights for “entertainment services in the nature of live visual and audio performances by a reality star; Entertainment services, namely, live, televised and movie appearances by a professional entertainment.”
