Speaking on Instagram Live after the Super Bowl, Cardi expressed frustration over the strict security measures at the event, blaming them on Donald Trump’s attendance.
“Yo, I was too f–ing mad today because, you know, Donald Trump and s***,” she said. “He was at the Super Bowl today, and they was giving us a hard time. Oh my gosh. The Secret Service was not playing.”
She went on to say that the security chaos damaged her expensive $3,000 heels.
“This shoe cost me three bands,” Cardi said. “All ‘cause of Trump. Now I like him lesser. Now I like him lesser because you didn’t have to go to no damn Super Bowl, f*ing up my shoe.”**
She then mentioned her uncle’s deportation.
“Now he’s gonna have to—well, he definitely ain’t gon’ do that—bring my uncle… back because my uncle got deported.”
Cardi did not elaborate on when or why her uncle was deported. However, since returning to office, Trump has signed multiple executive orders targeting immigration. Reports show that ICE arrests have surged, with nearly 1,200 arrests in a single day last month.
Cardi has been outspoken about her political frustrations, previously criticizing both Trump and Biden in the 2024 election. While she initially called the choice “picking the lesser evil,” she later endorsed Kamala Harris, who lost to Trump in November.
