Social Media lit up after images of #NickiMinaj and #CardiB chopping it up at the Met Gala surfaced. Now, in an interview with Howard Stern’s Sirius XM radio show, Cardi has cleared the air on what really happened.
“I never was feuding with anybody; there was a misunderstanding,” Cardi said plainly in response to questions about if she and Nicki were beefing. “I think she felt a certain type of way about something. I definitely felt a certain type of way about something. I didn’t wanna ever talk about it in public because I felt like we gonna see each other again and we will talk about it, and it’s always like little issues. The thing is, it’s always little issues, but you know, fans are always gonna make it a big thing.”

The “Invasion Of Privacy” Rapper would not go into detail about what those “little issues” were, stating instead that her feelings were really hurt.

“I’m not gonna talk about it, but I really feel a certain type of way,” she said. “My feelings was really hurt, and I was just on some, ‘You know what? This is why I just keep to myself. This is why I cannot fuck with nobody.'”

Ultimately, the two were able to iron out their grievances and all things are well in rap queen land.

“I spoke to her at the Met Gala about it, and it’s just like, see? It’s just something that had to be talked about because it was an issue,” Cardi explained.

The rapper also said she feels that the media puts women of color against each other. This, creating problems where they may not actually exist.

Both New York rappers have big things to focus on outside of a non-existent beef. With a stellar rookie season in the books, Cardi now has her fourth platinum hit with “Bartier Cardi,” as well as a bundle of joy on the way. As for Minaj, her highly anticipated fourth studio album “Queen” is slated for release on June 15th.
