Cardi B is preparing for another lawsuit since she discovered a company was using her likeness to promote a scam.
The rapper came across the video using her likeness to promote a “stimulus style” scheme. In the video, Cardi is seen and appears to be doing a voiceover speaking about “free” money being given away by the government.
“Yo, it’s ya girl Cardi, and I’m a show you how to put $16,000 in your pocket right now for free,” the fake Cardi voice says in the clip. The social media profile, USA Wellness Wave, initially posted the video, though they don’t appear to have an actual website.
The clip made it to Cardi’s timeline, and she wasted no time announcing her plans to seek legal action against whoever was behind the AI-generated voice and image in the video.
“AI is crazy smh….another lawsuit that fell right on my lap…I love easy money,” she tweeted.

It seems that Belcalis has finally grown fed up with people using AI to attach her name and family to drama. Back in August, another AI-generated voice note surfaced online, which was allegedly proof of Offset cheating. The audio was proved fake. During that instance, Cardi threatened a lawsuit against the Twitter account that eventually deleted the voice note. However, it doesn’t seem that she followed through with it. This time, Cardi is not taking the AI abuse lightly.
Cardi is no stranger to suing those who wrong her. She is famously embroiled in a legal dispute with Tasha K over defamation.
