Whew, chile!
A WWE-style brawl broke out aboard the Carnival Magic cruise ship earlier this week over cheating allegations and it was caught on tape.
Eyewitness Theresa James, who was also aboard the ship, told Fox News the fight began after an alleged threesome between passengers enraged their significant others.
James told the outlet the fight broke out just before 2 a.m. at the ship’s nightclub and an estimated 60 people were involved. No serious injuries were reported, however, the witness said bottles were broken and a woman may have been cut.
Following the incident, US Coast Gaurd escorted the cruise ship to dock in Manhattan and NYPD opened an investigation.
“Security onboard the boat attempted to de-escalate the situation and subsequently called for the Coast Guard,” the NYPD said. “The Coast Guard escorted the cruise ship to Pier 88, confines of the MTN Precinct. Uniformed personnel and Traffic Agents met the ship and the ship disembarked passengers without further incident.”
Carnival later released a statement referring to the brawl as an “altercation.”
“Last night while Carnival Magic was returning to New York, a number of guests were involved in an altercation in a nightclub. Thankfully no serious injuries were reported and our onboard security team intervened,” the statement read. “The ship arrived as scheduled this morning and shoreside law enforcement authorities were notified and met the ship to interview suspects and witnesses and conduct an investigation.”
No arrests have been made.
