Over the weekend, a warrant was issued for the arrest of Brooklyn-bred rapper, Casanova, for an alleged physical assault that occurred the week before.
According to TMZ, a woman named Niya Rucker filed a report against the “Set Trippin” rapper, claiming she was attacked by him and an accomplice at Good Stuff Diner in New York.
Sources say Casanova thought Rucker was filming him in the restaurant, so he attacked her in an attempt to stop the recording and obtain the phone. However, Rucker told PIX11 that she was just recording her meal for Instagram Live.
According to officials, the incident left Rucker with a broken jaw, a loose tooth, and facial lacerations. They say one of the men also put her in a sleeper hold during the altercation.
As a result, officials issued a warrant for the rapper’s arrest, which prompted his decision to surrender.
