Early Tuesday, it was reported that well-known tech executive, Bob Lee, was stabbed to death in downtown San Francisco.
According to reports, Lee, 43, was the chief product officer of cryptocurrency startup MobileCoin. He also started Cash App and was a former chief technology officer of Square.
“Our dear friend and colleague, Bob Lee, passed away yesterday at the age of 43, survived by a loving family and collection of close friends and collaborators,” MobileCoin said in a statement. “a dynamo, a force of nature … the genuine article.”
Police say they found the victim after they received reports of a stabbing at around 2:35 am. He was later taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.
At this time, no arrest has been made. San Francisco police haven’t released any further details about the case, but a friend of the tech guru said the incident occured while walking in the Rincon Hill neighborhood, according to NY Post.
