Cassie has revealed that she considered ending her life due to ongoing memories of her past with Diddy.
As the second day of her testimonies wrapped up, an emotional Cassie told the jury she considered ending her life, while her children were in the next room, because of flashbacks of her alleged abuse by the music mogul. Cassie continued her testimony in a Manhattan courtroom on Wednesday, May 13th, the third day of Diddy’s trial for sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty.
The pair’s on-and-off relationship lasted a decade, with the 38-year-old alleging years of mental, physical, and sexual abuse, including “hundreds” of “Freak Offs,” during which she was allegedly forced into various sexual acts. Their relationship officially ended in 2018, the same year Cassie says Diddy raped her.
She met her husband, Alex Fine, shortly after, and the two now share two daughters and are expecting a third child. But Cassie told the court that the trauma didn’t stop after their separation. In 2023, the flashbacks returned, leading to suicidal thoughts.
“I was spinning out,” she said. “I didn’t want to be alive anymore at that point.”
She broke down while describing a March 2023 moment.
“I couldn’t take the pain I was in anymore and just tried to walk out the front door into traffic,” she testified, telling her husband, “You can do this without me, you don’t need me anymore.” Fine stopped her.
Cassie is expected to continue her testimony on Thursday.
