Following President Joe Biden’s announcement that he was leaving the campaign trail and endorsing Kamala Harris as his replacement, several celebrities have swarmed to show her support.
Vice President Harris is launching her own bid for the White House with Biden in her corner. In the hours following her campaign launch, over $50 million in donations poured in. While it’s unknown which stars opened their wallets for Harris, many of them have taken to social media to express their endorsement of Harris. Tina Knowles was among the first to send love to Harris in a touching Instagram post.
“New, Youthful, Sharp energy !!!! You asked for it, and our President Biden did what was best for the country! Putting personal Ego, power, and fame aside. That is the definition of a great leader. Thank you, President Biden, for your service and your leadership. Go Vice President Kamala Harris for President. Let’s Go #kamala2024,” Knowles wrote alongside a photo of her and Harris.
Cardi reshared her previous IG Live, which was recorded following the presidential debate back in June. At the time, she called for Biden to step down and predicted that Harris would be the perfect candidate to take his place.
“Said this on JUNE 30TH! Been told y’all Kamala should’ve been the 2024 candidate,” Cardi wrote in part of her IG caption.
Many other prominent figures have joined the call for Harris to be president, signaling a solid start to her unorthodox yet promising Capitol Hill efforts.
