While a handful of celebrities have called a quits on their relationships this year, many have found love and even started families. We would like to take a moment to highlight those couples who gave us a glimpse into their happiness.
Lizzo and Myke Wright
Lizzo and her man doesn’t share too much of their relationship to the public but they do give us sweet moments into their connection. The Grammy winner first debuted Wright as her boyfriend at her red carpet event in June. However before the confirmation, Lizzo and Wright were rumored to be dating after being spotted together engaging in a ton of PDA.
Halle Bailey and DDG
Halle and DDG first made their red carpet debut as a couple in June at the BET Awards, but their relationship actually started months earlier. The rumors first sparked after the two were seen together at an Usher concert in January. Two months later, the couple went Instagram official. In August, Halle was featured as the main video girl in DDG’s “If I Want You” single.

In September, Reginae confirmed she was dating “someone special” during an interview with Cam Newton. She described her man as a “gentleman” who she loves to be around. Since we are in the season of giving, Armon decided to show his boo some appreciation and gifted her a promise ring. In the video, Armon tells Reginae the ring symbolizes his “loyalty” and “love.”
Lupita Nyong’o and Selema Masekla
Before the year ended, the Oscar winning actress decided it was time for the world to meet her boo Selema. Lupita introduced Selema in an Instagram reel of the duo transitioning into several coordinated outfits.

Over the years, Lupita have continuously shot down plenty of dating rumors including the one about dating her ‘Black Panther’ costar Michael B. Jordan. The reason could be because she was already in a relationship with Selema. It’s not clear on when Lupita and Selema started dating but the 39-year-old has always been vocal about keeping parts of her life private.
Honorable Mentions: Diddy and Yung Miami
We could not end the year off without mentioning our favorite couple that tries to convince us that they’re not a couple. Since 2021, rumors have circulated that the two were romantically linked but the speculations were confirmed this past June. Diddy appeared on Miami’s podcast and revealed that they “have dates” but they’re “friends” that have “great times” together.
That same month, Miami showed support to her “friend” during his performance at the BET awards. Miami held up a homemade sign that read “Go Papi” while Diddy took the stage. In October, Miami was featured on the remix of Diddy’s “Gotta Move On” single and was seen in the video riding shotgun next to her “papi.”
Even though Diddy made it clear that Miami was just his “friend,” the two seem to really enjoy each other’s company. In fact, the two are often seen taking luxurious trips and toasting to the good life.
