Celebs Stand Up For And Support Nick Cannon Amid “Anti-Semitic” Comments, Diddy Offers Cannon Spot At Revolt TV

Celebs are standing up for Nick Cannon after Viacom/CBS fired him for spewing “anti-Semitic” comments.

Although Viacom/CBS has dropped Cannon over his recent comments from his June 30 episode of “Cannon’s Class” podcast, he hasn’t been dropped by his numerous comrades in the industry. “It’s never hate speech; you can’t be anti-Semitic when we are the Semitic people. When we are the same people who they want to be. That’s our birthright. We are the true Hebrews,” Cannon explained during his podcast. The media maven went on to discuss the history of behind the existence of white people and how people of power try to control education systems and condition oppressed people into believing they are lesser than.

Afterwards, Viacom/CBS dropped Cannon, and the 39-year-old clapped back at the network standing by his statements, demanding an apology from the network and the rights to his hit sketch comedy show Wild N’ Out. But Cannon isn’t alone, several celebs have stepped up to show support for Cannon and called the industry out on its biased “cancel culture” towards Black entertainers. #Diddy has even offered Cannon a spot on his Revolt TV network.

“The only way we can change the narrative, educate, and uplift each other is if we do it together. Nick, my brother, I am here to support you fully in any way you need. What we are not going to do is turn our backs on our brothers and sisters when they challenge the system. Come home to #REVOLTTV, which is truly BLACK OWNED! We got your back and love you and what you have done for the culture,” wrote Diddy. Other support came from his Wild N’ Out cast, including #VenaE, #DCYoungfly, and #TimChantarangsu. “Two Asian dudes on MTV? Ninja, we made it!!!” #YellowOnYellowCrime I did NOT think that when this aired that it would potentially be the last episode of Wildnout ever??? I will forever be grateful to #NickCannon for the love and opportunity! And of course, shout out to the OG #iammcjin,” said Chantarangsu.

“I’m wit you OG #since my WildNOut audition OG #nickcannon ben f*ckin wit me!!! Now we’re being silenced for speaking OUR HISTORY on what happened TO US if you need me to roast one of these mafukkas jus point em out and i gotcha #IGotTimeToday,” said DC. “You know what time it is, Nick Cannon, I love you, period. We’re going to keep grinding, we gone keep working and that’s nothing. First, brotha to give me the opportunity. He ain’t ask to sleep with me, he didn’t ask me to do nothing I didn’t have no business doing. He gave me opportunity. And that was boons on top of blessings,” said comedian and actress Vena E. Jeven.

  1. There is very blood between African Americans of the past few generations and Jews, period. The problem is, like any group which has suffered incredible persecution, as Jews and African Americans have, (as well as other groups), there is often a fracturing of these groups seeking fall guys for their misfortunes and pain, which are misdirected to wrong the parties; those systems within the power structure who seek to keep all minority groups down. When people target Jews with their frustrations and anger, the next step is often to find justifications by blame, which results in a defensive posture by Jews and those who find anti Semitism unacceptable, regardless of their identifications, which I think happened in this case. To then turn around and demand an apology from the very people one has insulted and blamed with terrible tropes to begin with, is where I, as a Jew, who has always stood up for African Americans (and was raised to in my home like many Jews coming up in the 50’s and 60s), is where I draw the line. If you are going to trash talk Jews, and blame them for your woes, frustrations and anger, you better be prepared to not make as many friends as enemies. Jews have just as much reason to be dubious about African Americans who blame them, as any group in America who seeks to find a scapegoat for their problems. But to then want an apology from a company who fired you for your anti semitic tropes, and have others support you ? Man, what an indictment of our current tragic state of affairs when it comes to Jewish Afro American relationships. Just what the real enemies of racism and Anti Semitism love to see. Don’t you understand divided we fall ? Well, go back to read about the Civil Rights Movement and those who died in the struggle. Catholics, Jews, Women, black and white Christian Clergy, all stood with ML King. Anyone who supports such trash about Jews spits on all of that, with a smirk and believes wrongly, we don’t need you, we’ll do it alone. At this point, I say, then do it.

    • The problem is that there are more antisemitic people in the US than there are Jews. Most of us wish we could say “only 2% of the US population is antisemitic”, but that would be a flat out lie. Charlotsville removed whatever illusion that this isn’t what is at the base o this.
