New Cell Phone Video Shows Kansas City Police Shooting Of Malcolm Johnson

Prosecutors are reviewing a new cell phone video that shows the deadly shooting of Malcolm Johnson by Kansas City police.

According to KCTV5, Kansas City police officers shot and killed Johnson, who was wanted in connection with an earlier shooting, during a confrontation at a BP gas station.

The newly released cell phone video of Johnson’s arrest and shooting shows several officers restraining him on the floor. At some point, one officer draws a weapon, you hear a shot fired, and another officer yells in pain and hobbles away. Then, two more shots are fired.

Earlier this week, a group of pastors criticized the fatal shooting of Johnson, calling it an execution. On Wednesday, the pastors met with the Missouri Highway Patrol, investigating the shooting and turning over the video to them. KCTV5 News has not confirmed if that includes this new video.
