Chance the Rapper Announces First Ever Award Show to Honor Leaders in Education

During his Social Works summit Friday on Chicago’s southside, Chance the Rapper announced that 20 local public schools will receive a $100,000 grant from the total $2.2 million raised for his New Chance Fund.

The donations were raised for arts education over a span of six months.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In addition to the donations, Chance also announced that he will be presenting his first-ever Twilight Awards, an award show to honor “teachers, parents, principals, and students that convey leadership,” Pitchfork reports.

The event is set to take place in June 2018 and will be hosted by James Corden. Chance also notes that there will be plenty of special guests in attendance.
