Charlamagne Tha God is one of America’s favorite bad guys in media and now you can read about his journey in his upcoming book. “Black Privilege: Opportunity Comes to Those Who Create It” , set for an April release, will give readers an inside look into Charlamagne’s rise from his humble beginnings in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, to national fame with MTV and Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club morning show.
“I wrote this for the dreamers, for the optimists; this book isn’t for pessimists,” Charlamagne tells HipHopDX. “This book is about embracing who and what you are regardless of race, gender, sexuality, and class. God gave you the privilege of this thing called life so regardless of what this society tells you that you can’t do and what you don’t have to understand you lack nothing God gave you everything you need to succeed.”
Like his personality on-air, Charlamagne promises this book will be “brutally honest.” Fans can now pre-order the book on Amazon. “Black Privilege” drops on April 18, 2017 and will be available via Barnes & Noble, Apple’s iBookstore, Google Play, Nook and more.
