Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson must be so proud of their son Chet — sike!
Chat Hanks, 31, took to Instagram Monday to rail against COVID-19 and getting vaccinated. The video started with what seemed like a PSA geared toward getting the vaccine. But despite his own parents battling the virus last year, The White Boy Summer rapper switches up halfway through his spiel.
“SIKE! B*tch, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. I never had COVID. You ain’t sticking me with that motherf*cking needle. It’s the motherf*cking flu. Get over it. OK? If you’re sick, stay inside,” Hanks ranted. “Why are we working around y’all? If you’re in danger, stay your ass inside. I’m tired of wearing a motherfucking mask.”
The anti-vax rant seems to stem from a visit to Barnes & Noble. Hanks continued on by posting in his Instagram stories. “The vaccine should be a choice, not a requirement to perform our basic rights,” he wrote. In a follow-up post, he added a photo of the books he had recently purchased.
Hanks rant is interesting since his parents were some of the earliest celebrities to make their COVID-19 diagnosis public. Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson revealed in March of 2020 that they had tested positive and were eventually hospitalized in Australia. The two fully recovered from the virus.
