Understand That It’ll Never Be JUST You: You are a groupie. Those four words will get you through any confusion you may face. Most ballers already have a “wife” at home. If they were looking for someone to become possessive over them, they would have flown the old ball-n-chain down. But he didn’t! Always keep in mind that he may want to double dip. He may want to bring another woman into the bedroom, or even cut your session short for another with someone else. Be okay with that, just exchange numbers and keep it moving.

The Shoot Around Trick. If you’re thinking about getting into one of these deluxe rooms at the Westin on Michigan Ave you’ve got to remember that timing is everything! One of our Ballerific readers, Monica Amazingsuggested that best time to catch your potential baller is to wait casually in the lobby after shoot around.
“I remember I went to visit my very first baller…an NBA’er. (A loooong time ago..lol) After being dropped by at the hotel from the airport, I was waiting for him to come in after shoot-around. I hear voices and look up…. the whole friggin’ team poured into the lobby. One of his teammates came up to me and asked who I was waiting for. I told him ‘suchandsuch‘ and he was like ..’Damn, I wish you was waitin’ for me.’ So..being in the lobby at the right time can work out!“
What is shoot around? Shoot around is basically a short early morning practice where players walk through sets, plays and basically shoot around. Shoot around usually takes place the morning of a game and lasts anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half.
With that being said, if you’re looking to snag your baller at the hotel lobby, make sure you’re up bright and early with a smile on your face!

The Parking Lot Fake-Out Trick.What’s that you ask? Well, whether you actually have a vehicle or not you can make this trick work for you. It’s simple, around checkout time, the day before you intend to snag your baller, scour the elevators, parking lot, lobby area and entrance way for old valet tickets. Hold on to that ticket, it will be the golden ticket to your baller’s heart (or pants, whichever you prefer). The day you plan on scooping your athlete, wait patiently outside as if you were waiting on valet. Eventually you’ll spot a baller waiting for valet as well, this will give you ample opportunity to spark up a conversation. What’s the reason for the valet ticket? It’s all for the illusion. No ticket. No car. It also helps should someone ask if you’re looking for a vehicle, give them the ticket number and send them on a wild goos chase while you converse with your man!
