A customer in Chicago was caught on camera throwing snow at a restaurant employee and shattering glass allegedly all because he was asked to wear a mask.
This past Wednesday, the video captured an angry customer throwing snow at a Wieners Circle employee and breaking the business’ glass door after he was allegedly asked to wear a mask. CNN National reports that the incident happened at a Wieners Circle located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood.
In the footage captured by surveillance, the man can be seen getting into what appears to be a verbal exchange with the restaurant worker, who isn’t visible in the video, reports KESQ News Channel 3. The man then turns to leave the business but picks up snow and throws it at the worker. He goes back outside a second time, picks up snow, and then reaches over the counter to throw snow at the employee. The man leaves for the third time, but he comes back with a solid object this time.
“He came back with a brick and shattered our door,” the restaurant said in a tweet. From the outside video footage, the man is shown throwing the object at the building and then running away.
CNN reports that the man is still on the loose, and police are investigating the situation.
