A now-viral post circulated across social media showing what seems to be wings in a Chick-fil-A box. Of course, this got many people really excited, but unfortunately, the image in the picture is not what it appears to be.
A Chick-fil-A spokesperson explained the situation to 11Alive News.
The viral post is real but comes from a “virtual restaurant” in Nashville, meaning wing lovers cannot go to any restaurant and buy the wings, nor is the fast-food chain testing them.
Last year, Chick-fil-A opened Little Blue Menu, which is a delivery kitchen concept. Only available in Nashville, the kitchen has several “virtual restaurants,” which include Outfox Wings (seen in the virtual post) as well as two other virtual restaurants Flock & Farm and Garden Day. Traditional Chick-fil-A menu items can also be purchased there.
“Customers can mix and match items from Chick-fil-A and the virtual restaurants, and have them delivered in one bundled order,” the spokesperson told 11Alive.
According to its website, the Little Blue Menu concept grew from testing and playing around with hundreds of recipes until, eventually, the virtual restaurant identities were established.
When asked if Atlanta could soon have its own Little Blue Menu or Outfox Wings, the eatery said they don’t have any plans “at this time.”
