Kansas City Chiefs star Frank Clark was slapped with another gun charge after authorities found an uzi in his car.
Clark was arrested in Los Angeles in June after he was pulled over for a routine traffic violation. When police approached his car, they saw the uzi sticking out of an open duffle bag, TMZ reported.
He was arrested and booked for illegal possession of a firearm.
This week, Los Angeles prosecutors officially charged him with one count of possession of an assault weapon.
He is expected to appear in court on January 17.
This is Clark’s second legal matter involving a gun. He was hit with his first gun charge in March. Police pulled over the 28-year-old and another man for failing to have a front license plate.
Authorities also noticed a gun that time. They searched and uncovered two loaded firearms. Both men were arrested.
Sources close to the NFL star say the guns did not belong to him and claim the firearms belonged to his security team.
